The Goal
Produce and develop a nationally syndicated short-form program
to allow film studios to advertise their current releases,
while pre-promoting upcoming films.
The Execution
Utilizing a vignette format, Marlin developed "Inside
Scoop", a short-form series that provided the studios
an opportunity to get their message out ahead of the pack
and break through the movie marketing clutter. A partial
listing of promoted films included: Paramount Pictures’
Soap Dish, Naked Gun, Addams Family, and Wayne’s World;
Universal Pictures’ Kindergarten Cop, Backdraft, Havana,
The Hardway, and King Ralph; Orion Pictures’ Dances
with Wolves, Mermaids, and FX2.
Results Recap
Marlin expanded the studios' television marketing dollars
and provided a new and uncluttered opportunity to promote
the studios’ line-up.
