The History Channel Lunch Promotion

The Goal
Reinforce The History Channel's new programming line-up with a creative approach to the ad community using a more playful and unique strategy.

The Execution
Marlin delivered complimentary THC-themed lunches to busy media executives. All sandwiches promoted signature programming (i.e. "The Barbarian – Roast Beef Sandwich" and "The Alamo – Fajita Wrap"). They arrived with the network’s own Zoom energy drinks in branded lunch boxes. The sought-after sandwiches informed The History Channel clients of upcoming programs while the "high power" drinks reinforced the network's image.

Results Recap
Marlin delivered over 1,600 box lunches to approximately 50 ad agencies during the advertiser upfront. THC became a "hero" to hungry and frenzied clients, while the lunches kept THC top-of-mind and "delivered" THC's message in a fun and innovative way.
