ECONnergy Weather Sweepstakes

The Goal
ECONnergy Energy Company, the largest alternate energy company in New York State, turned to Marlin to develop a promotion to raise consumer awareness and drive customer acquisition.

The Execution
Recognizing the relationship between energy costs and the winter season, Marlin produced a sweepstakes offering consumers a chance to win $100,000 if they could guess both the high and low temperature on Groundhog’s Day. Marlin was responsible for all contest development and creative for direct mail and newspaper FSIs.
